The Terraces at Park Marino

Im trying to get some news on a relative who is a resident, i understand that she was evacuated on the 7th and the facility was destroyed in the Eaton fire. If anyone knows or has any information could you Please call me .

I'm so deeply saddened by the events of January 7th. The terraces, its staff, its community, is one of a kind. Once they rebuild I will finally feel comfort and safety for mom. Thank you to all the staff, I owe you everything.

Watching the news and fires right now and the staff and evacuation plan was magnificent!!!! Great teamwork . The world was watching and they did a excellent job on evacuating those patients. 1st responders need to be recognized

Perfect home for our mother who needs daily assistance due to dementia. The Terraces offer a very friendly and helpful staff in a clean and nurturing environment!

My Mom was unable to safely stay alone in house. She had become a recluse, never getting out of pajamas, TV all day, Meals on Wheels, nothing nice to say about anything or anybody.
I prepared a very detailed list !

Began the challenge of finding a senior living residence. I looked at 13 different places, ranging from
" The Bates Motel to The Ritz
Last visit that day was the Terraces. As soon as I walked thru the door I felt so welcomed. People were smiling, decorated beautifully & NO bad odors
Sam greeted me with a big smile & we talked at length about Mom, her situation, hobbies, etc. AND then there's "MY Check Off Sheet"
After Sam saw my Check List, he grinned & said let's go for a tour. He handed me their Monthly Calendar of events & menu for that week(WOW)
Started thru the beautiful, peaceful garden area, then along side the building to overlook the wildlife sanctuary
HOW INCREDIBLE- doesn't even feel like you're in the city
Began touring the floors, each one with activity areas. Again, everything was clean & decorated nicely. Very homey & relaxed.
Studio that was available was large with great closet space, extra accessible bathroom, frig,
Microwave. PLENTY of room for Mom.
Last, but probably the best was touring the dining room while residents were still there. All seemed to be enjoying each other, staff knew them by name & SAM greeted everyone by name. ( what a memory!)
BTW- most places I visited WOULD NOT let me go in. It's closed or Residents are eating
Upon returning to Sam's office, he asked if I had any questions & how did the Terraces do on MY LIST ? " THE TERRACES is a perfect fit. I need to call my Brother NOW !!!
It's like we have OUR MOM back. She's thriving & we couldn't be more thrilled !

The decision to move a parent into an assisted living facility is never easy and is often met with resistance and feelings of rejection. After doing extensive research, my family selected the Terraces at Park Marino for our mom, and it was the absolute best decision. Notwithstanding her initial objections, she has fallen in love with her new life at the Terraces in a noticeably brief period of time!

The Terraces' staff, led by their dynamic Community Relations Director, Sam, are warm and caring. Sam is truly passionate about what he does, about the residents, and about his staff, and together they create a happy environment of comradery amongst the residents with numerous activities and daily events. The facilities are clean, the food options are excellent, the resources are plentiful, and the care is top shelf.

Our mom has quickly made friends and with this newfound social engagement and interaction, she has transformed into the person we used to know and love but thought was gone forever. The Terraces experience has been a real game changer for our mom!

This place is awesome! My mother has lived here for a little over a year and I couldn't be happier. It's such a friendly, positive, uplifting facility and you feel that the moment you enter the bright lobby. Sam Baum, who will help you with just about EVERYTHING is nothing short of wonderful! He interacts with all the residents daily and knows them all by name. All of the staff is very friendly and helpful and the facility has a positive vibe like no other!...and believe me, I toured quite a few before deciding on this one. There is a number of places to relax, such as a cozy fireplace on each level with chairs, sofas, etc....very inviting! And the best thing....the garden! Yes, they have a garden that is green, with beautiful trees, bushes, bird feeders, and best of all...it's right up against the Eaton Canyon wash, with GORGEOUS mountain views! There's a cemented walking path in the garden, so those with rollators/walkers/wheelchairs can easily take a stroll, or sit at one of the tables under the umbrella. The Terraces at Park Marino is not too big, not too small, and there are lots of activities and outings for the seniors and many special events....like the yearly luau that they just had...everyone had a blast!! While it's located at the intersection of Altadena Dr. and Washington Blvd., it's tucked behind several medical buildings, so it's nice and quiet, even if your room or apartment faces toward the front. This is a GREAT place with GREAT people, I highly recommend reaching out to Sam and asking for a tour.

My Mom has been lovingly, comfortably and safely at The Terraces at Park Marino for 3 years now. In our first meeting with Sam Baum, the Community Relations Director, he said. "We love our residents in". That's the truth. The care and compassion my mom receives on a daily basis is comforting. Since the beginning Sam worked with us on a special diet for my mom. They treat all their residents like family. The staff at the front desk and in the dining room know the residents by name. Sam swings by my mom's room and picks her up for social events that he knows she enjoys but may not remember to make it there herself. My mom has serious memory issues and Sam, Dana and the entire staff are skilled at managing her special needs as they continue to change. My sister and I feel blessed that we found The Terraces.

My mom has spent the last eleven years living at The Terraces and its been a wonderful experience for our whole family. Sam and the entire staff have been attentive and caring to mom as if she was part of their family,
and she feels the same. She has created some strong bonds with her fellow residents as well as the staff. We couldn't be happier with the choice we made for her years ago.
